SentinelOne has announced that it has agreed to acquire PingSafe Pte Ltd, a cloud-native application protection platform startup, The financial details not yet disclosed.
Founded in 2021, PingSafe offers a CNAPP solution that delivers dynamic, real-time monitoring of multi cloud workloads, simple setup and configuration and low false positive rates. Designed to bridge the gap between attackers’ modus operandi and security solutions currently on the market, the core focus of PingSafe is to help companies protect themselves against cyberattacks.
The PingSafe platform aggregates intelligence via cloud application programming interfaces and logs and then uses a graph database to generate a normalized architecture of the cloud estate of a client. PingSafe then detects toxic and exploitable vulnerabilities, allowing security teams to make efficient decisions without relying on human verification of alerts.
SentinelOne plans to integrate PingSafe’s CNAPP into its Singularity Platform, delivering what is claimed to be a “paradigm shift in cloud security.” Arguably companies will no longer have to rely on point solutions or a standalone cloud security platform as they now have access to a unified security platform complete with advanced, real-time, artificial intelligence-powered security operations to protect the entire enterprise across endpoints, identities, and clouds.
SentinelOne aim to steadily extend its cloud security capabilities beyond cloud workload security with this acquisition.
