VMware released VMware Carbon Black Workload for AWS to help defend against emerging threats and deliver comprehensive visibility and security across on-premises and cloud environments for AWS customers.
This will deliver advanced protection for securing both traditional and modern workloads. The service uses a single unified console integrates into existing infrastructure, allowing security and information technology teams to reduce attack surfaces and strengthen security postures.
The improved security postures are delivered while achieving consistent and unified visibility for workloads running on AWS, VMware Cloud and on-premises.
This includes array of features such as automatic gathering and listing of vulnerabilities to identify risk and harden workloads, further shrinking the attack surface. Support for continuous integration of packages used in sensor deployment is said to simplify agent lifecycle management further.
Customers using the new service can achieve more complete, comprehensive and deeper visibility into the workloads that extend beyond when the VMware Carbon Black Workload sensor was first deployed.
VMware Carbon Black Workload for AWS combines foundational vulnerability assessment and workload hardening with Next-Gen AV to analyze attacker behavior patterns over time and help stop new attack vectors.
The inclusion of enterprise threat hunting for workloads with behavioral endpoint detection and response allows AWS customers to turn threat intelligence into a prevention policy to avoid hunting for the same threat twice.
