  3. Credential Entry: The victim is manipulated into entering their credentials into the AnyDesk application. Once installed, the attacker executes commands to start AnyDesk as a local service with elevated privileges, which provides them with persistent remote access to the victim’s system.
  4. Executing Malicious Commands: The attacker then executes a series of malicious commands. These include running cmd.exe to execute rundll32.exe and load SafeStore.dll, which prompts a fake login form for entering credentials.
  5. Deployment of DarkGate Malware: Using the AutoIt scripting language, the attacker loads and executes the DarkGate script directly into memory. This script injects a process into MicrosoftEdgeUpdateCore.exe, establishing a connection with a command-and-control (C2) server.
